Housing and Food
Campers live in cabins with one bunk counselor for every five children. Each cabin is equipped with bathrooms and showers and wooden bunk beds with built-in ladders and guard rails. Camp chefs and bakers prepare nourishing, tasty meals in our modern, kosher kitchen. During lunch and dinner there are salad bars with lettuces, fresh vegetables, beans, a variety of special salads as well as hot pasta. A vegetarian alternative is made available at every animal based meal as well. All foods are prepared in accordance with dietary laws. Campers with special dietary requirements due to allergies or other medical issues are individually attended to by our dining room steward. Mature & Highly Skilled Professionals Provide Individual Supervision
Continuity of staff is the key reason for success at Camp NJW. All key staff are professional educators who come with enormous knowledge, experience and training, providing the kind of nurturing environment needed for our campers. All general specialists are highly skilled, well supervised and certified. Counselor staff are pursuing fields such as early childhood education, psychology, sociology and recreation. Daily schedules and programming are set up to offer campers growth in group oriented as well as individual settings.

Health Supervision
One resident doctor and three nurses are on duty around the clock in our Health Center. The entire health program has been thoughtfully planned to fit the needs of our campers and is supervised by the outstanding New Jersey physicians on the Medical Committee of the New Jersey Federation of YMHA´s and YWHA´s.

Celebrating the Sabbath
The joy of Shabbat is a highlight of the Camp NJW experience. Community, tradition and heritage are linked in our celebration. Campers and staff wear white shirts as the Sabbath begins with candle lighting, kiddush and blessing over the Challah.

After dinner services are conducted by campers who have spent the week in preparation. Saturday morning services are followed with a visit with siblings and friends from NJW, CLC and TAC.  In the afternoon campers participate in an exciting all-camp program. The shabbat end is marked with a beautiful candlelit Havdallah service.

Jewish Nature Center
The JNC exists to promote Jewish Environmental Nature Education in all types of formal and informal educational settings. The Center pioneers new ways of making nature a partner in Jewish education, develops curriculum integrating Jewish studies and nature experiences, explores the application of ancient Jewish ecological wisdom to contemporary Jewish life.

Out Of Camp Excursions
We offer trips to Dorney Park and Camel Beach. Older campers are also offered half day hiking trips and full day canoe trips down the Delaware River, as well as special programming at nearby Cedar Lake Camp.
